Architectural / Industrial designer and collector of unneeded hand tools. Currently honing my chisels in San Francisco.

About me

Chris is a Bay Area transplant from Birmingham, Alabama. He received his BA from Auburn University and worked for several years as an architectural designer of restaurants and high-end homes. In his free time he likes to build furniture and deplete his bank account on old motorcycles. Chris’ love for industrial design and fabrication led him to APROE in 2019 where he worked as a machine shop designer and side project aficionado. As of 2024 he currently resides at Apple.

Work

Over the past 10-years Chris has held a variety of professional design positions including; architectural designer, fabricator, pharmaceutical automation manager, program manager, and team lead for R&D facility and machine shop design. His expertise lies in leading technical lab design and construction for high-profile clients around the Bay Area. He has strong leadership and communications skills collaborating with cross-functional teams. Is proficient in strategic planning, technical research, and resource optimization for efficient product development.

Chris is currently engaged in the mechanical, industrial, and program management space.

Not Work

Chris has a problem sitting still. This leads him to - what some might consider - unhealthy fixations in design and fabrication methodologies. He has a deep-seated appreciation for materials, textures, techniques, and basic emotions that present themselves when planing a piece of wood.
